About

Among its responsibilities: information, management and monitoring of certain economic benefits related to elderly and dependants; policy proposals in these areas, the establishment and management centers with specific aims to research in these area; relations with foreign and international institutions and technical assistance to programmes of international cooperation in areas and targets of its action area; also, IMSERSO call for proposals annually for subsidies for research on areas within its competence.

Within IMSERSO, it is the Observatory for Elderly, a public service that aims to improve the social and care policies for elderly in Spain.

Its mission is to establish national and international interactions in order to change information, to promote studies and to develop and transfer innovation transfer oriented for the future of the politics for elderly.
